After stepping in to 'assist' when my son's Beaver Leader was moving away, I soon became the leader at Otford. My son is now in Scouts and my daughter is at Cubs but I continue to enjoy providing the scouting experience to our crazy smurfs.

I’m currently in Explorers and have been in Scouting since starting Cubs. I love water activities, camping & hiking and currently enjoy leading activities with my troop. Outside of Scouting I am sitting my A levels this year and plan to start Uni in September studying Computer Science. I like playing the guitar, I’m always listening to music and I’m a complete computer nerd.

I’ve been involved in scouting for over 30 years and had many roles but I am currently an explorer scout leader.   I have always loved the outdoors especially hiking and many years ago spent a couple of weeks in the Lake District exploring the area from a campsite at the base of Helvellyn.  More recently I have enjoyed wandering the Munros of Scotland and summiting Cairn Gorm and Ben Macdui along the way and I spent my holiday last summer in Snowdonia and summited Snowdon from two sides, walking 4 different paths, just because I could!    Can’t wait to get back out there!

I was a Wolf Cub in Gibraltar in the mid-60's, but didn't get involved in Scouting again until my son joined Beavers in 1998. I slowly became more involved with helping out, and became a Group Executive Committee member in 2005, and shortly after that Group Secretary, which I did until 2014 when I was appointed District Commissioner. I have attended several jamborees in this country, as well as the last two WSJs, last two World Scout Moots and Roverway 2018.

I have been involved with Scouting since I was 8, moving through the sections, from Cubs to Scouts to Explorers and now Network. I was a Young Leader and am now an Assistant Cub Scout Leader at the 37th Bournemouth Scout Group, where I have been since I was 8. I am also involved with Bournemouth Network and am a Youth Representative on the District Executive Committee. I have had many fun and lasting experiences through Scouting, from Ziplining in North Wales to climbing the Alps in Austria and I hope Kilimanjaro will be another achievement and experience I can add to that list.

I have been an assistant Scout leader and Network member in Aberystwyth and am currently part of the Network/Active Support in Maidstone East. I have also spent time teaching Scouts and Cubs how to fish, kayak and the elements of back to basics camping.

I have been involved in Scouting since I was a Beaver, and am currently a Scout Leader and Network member in Buckinghamshire. I love the outdoors and the challenges that come with it. Scouting have given me so many opportunities in life and brought Fun and Adventure every step of the way, with Kilimanjaro being the next big adventure and bucket list opportunity.

My scouting journey started at the age of 10 and I haven’t looked back since. I’m currently an Assistant Scout Leader for 1st Pembury Scouts. Normally you can find me with a paddleboard underfoot but this summer I’ll be switching the water shoes for hiking boots to climb Kilimanjaro!
